Dún Ó Grióbhatha — Fortress of Griffin — is a Houston-based leather household rooted in the values of honesty, integrity, and service. We are a Master/slave household with more than a decade of lived experience in the Leather and M/s communities, and we are actively building connections in the Houston scene.

We believe community is built through showing up — teaching, volunteering, serving on boards, and creating spaces where honest conversation can happen. That’s how we’ve always operated, and it’s how we operate now.

We are here to connect with others in the Leather and M/s world, contribute to local and regional events and organizations, and support s-types in finding safe spaces, education, and genuine community. If you’re in the Houston area and looking for connection, we’d love to hear from you.

Who We Are

Griffin (aka Griff)
Griffin2020 on FetLife

Griffin is a straight leatherman and the proud Owner of griffinsgirl. Together, they have been married since October 2001 and entered the Leather and M/s communities around 2010 through the Dallas scene — a foundation that shaped his approach to service, structure, and community.

His involvement over more than a decade has been both deep and wide. In Dallas, Griffin served on the board of NLA-Dallas and its bylaw committee, and was a founding board member of BADD (Building and Demonstrating Dominance), an organization dedicated to hosting classes and workshops for Masters and Dominants. He helped establish Worthless Bastards Cigar Club chapters in both Dallas and the Atlanta area, and has contributed as a volunteer at SPLF, SELF, and Sadistic Engineering in Atlanta. He has attended MsC and the MTTA Masters Weekend.

A veteran, Griffin brings an instinctive respect for policies, procedures, and the structures that allow organizations to function with integrity. His approach to leadership is straightforward: identify a need, and do the work to fill it.

Griffin is known as someone people open up to. He draws on broad life experience, an objective perspective, and a natural instinct for connecting people with resources and information. His style is to help people think through their own challenges rather than impose his views — a reflection of the same open-minded approach he brings to the full spectrum of M/s dynamics and experiences.

After a period away from the broader community, Griffin and his girl are returning with purpose — ready to contribute, collaborate, and help build spaces where Masters can speak honestly and without judgment. He believes a chapter, like any leather endeavor, succeeds as a team effort, and that’s exactly the spirit he brings to Houston.

I have been married to my Master, Griff, for nearly 25 years, and together we entered the M/s lifestyle around 2010 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Those early years were rich with community involvement — I served on the board of NLA-Dallas, led subHaven, and found my footing as both a student and a teacher in the lifestyle. Late 2015 brought us to Atlanta, where we jumped in with both feet and were welcomed with open arms by a vibrant, generous community.

Life eventually pulled us sideways for a season — work, family, the usual — but our roots in the lifestyle held. Houston is home now, and we are actively finding our way back in, seeking connection with others in the Leather and M/s world and looking for ways to get involved and give back.

Over the years I have had the privilege of teaching classes for s-types and those on the right side of the slash, and have volunteered with events and organizations including SELF, SPLF, MsC, and Beyond Vanilla. My deepest passion lies in helping s-types find safe spaces and genuine support when joining or navigating the community — building opportunities for education and growth, and championing healthy relationships, clear boundaries, and real well-being.
